  • When is the Holiday of Lights Drive Through Display Open?
    The display begins November 28 and the hours are Sunday through Thursday 6 pm – 9 pm, and Friday & Saturday 6 pm – 10 pm.
  • Does the Holiday of Lights cost money?
    There is no admission fee to ride through the Holiday of Lights display in Bluefield City Park. However, donations are always welcome upon your departure or at www.westvirginiaschristmascity.com/donate
  • How long does it take to ride through the Holiday of Lights?
    It takes about 10-15 minutes to ride through the light display (depending on the number of visitors).
  • Can you walk through the Holiday of Lights?
    Guests are welcome to walk any night they visit along the lighted pathways that begin at the Ridge Runner Fun Zone or the back entrance of the Market area. Walkers are not permitted to walk along the roads at any time.
  • Where do I find inclement weather delay information?
    Sometimes the Holiday of Lights is suspended due to snow or icy conditions. Please monitor our Facebook page for updates: www.facebook.com/BluefieldHolidayOfLights

    Yes! Free candy canes will be available to each car that comes to drive through the Holiday of Lights.

    Not at this time.
  • How long has the Holiday of Lights Drive Through Display been in operation?
    The City of Bluefield has proudly hosted the Holiday of Lights since 1996.
  • What is the Hometown Christmas Festival?
    This year will mark our fourth annual Hometown Christmas Week in Bluefield, WV. Families can come and enjoy festival activities, such as the Christmas Market, ice skating rink, photos with Santa, trolley rides, retail and food vendors, light displays, and more! Our 2024 festival will be held inside the Holiday of Lights located at 1780 Stadium Drive, Bluefield, WV 24701.     The 2024 Hometown Christmas Week will be held every weekend from November 29 until December 21 on Saturdays & Sundays at 6 pm - 10 pm. You can find a list of events at Activities & Events | WV's Christmas City (westvirginiaschristmascity.com)
  • Where is Hometown Christmas Week?
    This year's Hometown Christmas Week activities will be held inside the Holiday of Lights located at 1780 Stadium Drive Bluefield, WV 24701. Festival activities and vendors will be located at the far end of the lights display across from the practice field near the horse ring.

    Those interested in being a vendor should visit our vendor information page at www.westvirginiaschristmascity.com/vendors Businesses that are not located in the City of Bluefield and normally do not conduct business in City Limits or individuals that wish to sell goods/wares on a limited basis may be eligible for a business license waiver.
