West Virginia's Christmas City

2024 will be Bluefield, West Virginia's fourth official year as West Virginia's Christmas City! The Christmas City festivities annually kick off with the Holiday of Lights 5k Challenge and Christmas Tree Lighting. Check out our "activities and events" tab for a complete list of fun activities for the whole family.

Special events include, scenic evening walks through the park, music, Hometown Christmas Week, a live nativity scene, 5K race, trolley rides, photos with Santa, and more highlights throughout the season. Event times & dates are subject to change due to inclement weather. Please monitor our Facebook page for updates.

It all began with the Holiday of Lights. Every year Lotito City Park in Bluefield, West Virginia is transformed into a showcase of holiday themes during its annual Holiday of Lights Festival. You can tour the beautiful park ablaze with a stretch of over 1.5 million lights and wonderful scenes.
